After two weeks of problems with Windows and Broadband etc etc. I now have managed a clean install, everything working OK, not a Blue screen in sight.
Doesn't it fell good !
Shall I hold my breath ??

Snipes, as crap as XP is it is *way way* better than anything that has ever come out of Microsoft, including Win90.

Correct rob, but it will fix the thousands caused by dodgy installs, corrupt files, etc etc etc

98 start bar rules.....

You don't have to use the chunky buttons interface on XP Sniper... :p
XP does rule, I don't like the new start menu..other than that it's lovely.

Dodgy RAM, overheating RAM and badly written software are the most common ones by far - and re-installing XP won't fix any of them, heh.

if it works fine dont fix it......... or whatever the sentence is they say i use 98 still its running nicely... and none of that chuky tonka toy bill gates XP OS.........

I've got Win 98, will upgrade soon but keep hearing about problems with game compatability etc - can't seem to win whatever I do !
PC is fine at moment, will just be careful with what I install/download.

I've been using Win2K at work now, coming home to Win98 is such a misery.
It took me about 2 hours just waiting for Win98 to install too! (about 2/3 months ago)
