I think it would be cool if there as a game that let you do anything. For example, you would live in a small galaxy, in a fictional universe, and you are single, no strings attached, you have a little ship, and some money. You have roughly 60-150 years (or shorter) to do anything.
You could run a business in a small town in the hills of some green planet, or live as a hermit on a desert planet. You could live as a bandit, in the dark, dangerous backalleys of major cities, or huge nebulas. You could become an Emporer, ruling millions. Or you could be an assasin, or a pilot for a government. The possibilities are limitless.
This game would be way to big for any DVD or CD, and instead of buying about 10 in a pack, you could download extra bits, for the career you chose from a special website. There would be Space Poilice, similar to Elite, and several huge countaries/empires, such as America is today, and smaller republics and nations. You would start with a little money, a ship to upgrade, and an entire galaxy (or maybe more downloads) to explore......
