Hudsonsoft have announced that a new Bomberman game will be released on Wiiware with 8 player online support. I loved the original on the SNES, many 4 player games over the years.
This could be the first wiiware game that I get.

No specific release data as yet, just "Autumn 2008".
Apparently the WiiWare version will be out first, which will be a cut down version. There will be a full retail version out a little while afterwards.

One of my favourite multiplayer SNES games. That, Street Fighter II and WWF kept us entertained back in the day...

Bomberman is a pretty fun franchise. As with Brawl and Rock Band, I will probably play offline more than online if I can get other people to play it with me, though. This is one of those games that you need a roomfull of loud friends/relatives to get the full experience out of it.

General.... opinion?
I love Bomberman :) but I have to disagree with the general opinion in the Games forum that Bomberman: Act Zero is a good game. It isn't, infact it's awful and should never have seen the light of day.
