I'm fully aware of ISP Review's comments on Fast24 but as crap as they are, you don't find better. The old site was worse, and done in FP.

None of those are fair or apt comparisons to make. In all your examples they had a product, the product spoke for itself. The guy sitting in his bedroom programming spectrum games, well he had a game to sell. The proof was there. In this scenario, all there is to see is this persons promises of what he can offer. He doesn't have anything to show me except the website which I already commented. A better analogy for this is the person who goes to see his bank manager for a loan. You put your best suit on, make sure you've done your research, really make it look like you know what you're doing in the hope of convincing the bank to give you a loan. As I said in my previous messages, he wasn't convincing me of anything and all he has to show me is the website...

And I was giving him a chance, he makes little or no attempt to address the issues I've stated though. As I clearly mentioned several times though in my previous post, I do hope he makes a success of it.

Also if you do a little more research, recently they restructured because what they had wasn't financially viable for them.
As for their website, well, can only find some dreamweaver stuff, no frontpage. And where as it might not the greatest site in existence, it is functional, and it does look professional.

Would you allow some little kid to come along and advertise their ISP on your site when you already offer a deal?

No!

I'd stop advertising or they'll just go for the easy option and ban you as it's against the rules to advertise any other companies on these forums...

thanks for the support guys, i hope that it works as well as planned, it seems my long post which i posted here yesterday has disappeared, those freeola moderaters must be getting hot underthe collar! I basically sadi that you can get around 7email address, nntp, smtp, hopefullywebspace after the launch, and email tech support. If it gets a rather large turnover, i would hope to make a phone centre for tech support, but at the momentit will be via email. In comparison to BT Openworld of paying £14.99 for around 150 hrs, ish- around there, you would be paying £5 more than my 200 hr package, and get 50 hours less.....

Garin, if i could afford a really good web designer, i would hire them, but as i cant, i wont, therefore i will be doing everything myself - every new sitei make, there are improvements - as for the content, im trying my best, the mailing lists are not spam, and arent passed onto 3rd parties!

Any more suggestions people ???? Like for content, or any waysof marketing???

Goto www.sampfordgroup.co.uk/isp to pre register, and to contact us directly. I want to make the ultimate low cost ISP, for metered use. (Maybe broadband aswell, but that will have to be delayed, until the turnover from this venture is good enough, and demand is high enough) Too many ISP's are concerned with making millions and millions, whereas i will have the ultra low cost one!
