The parents of Anna sent her to a metal house and decided to leave her there so she could get over her phobia. Day by day she was sat in the corner of her padded room thinking “Why me? Why is everyone treating me like this?”. Her parents gave her Cindy before they sent her off for she won’t be miserable but that didn’t change that factor. She felt like dieing every breath she took from that point and she wasn’t going to change that thought for nothing.
When Anna was 14 years old medical doctors figured out she had severe depression. When shrinks asked her how she was feeling she didn’t answer as usual. Even at this age she still had her small doll Cindy, rapped around her arms tightly. Anna was at her breaking point she couldn’t stand another second of this sick torture. Through her countless months in her cell she had picked up a habit. The father of Anna sent her a pink wall clock to put up in her cell. The people who worked in the clinic thought it wouldn’t affect her so they agreed to put it up. She stared at the clock every second of the day until she memorized the day’s time. Her habit was that everyday at 7:42P.M. she would scream her lungs out for no reason. Medics put her on more medication but it was not useful.
By the time that Anna Mendez was 15 years old technology had advanced. Everything was faster, better, and bigger. Anna Mendez did not see much of the outside world so she did not get to see the new world. Even though science had gotten more understandable scientist still did not know everything. Anna’s bones felt weaker than they were when she was a year younger so she figured that she was not ok. In her own words she said “My body is decaying from the inside. Soon I will die in a terrible way and no one will care”.
Finally Anna had reached sweet 16 but it still was not looking so sweet from her eyes. Scientist had taken over the clinic in that year’s May. The normal medics were transferred to Nebraska. The scientist weren’t as nice as the others before them in many ways. They gave more medication and installed cameras in all the cells. Anna felt used and violated when the video cameras pointed toward Anna with Cindy still in her arms. Anna’s parents dies the day they installed the cameras too Her life was at the all time low.
It was now the year 1884 and Anna was 17. Scientist found out that she had a virus that would kill her in 4 more years. The scientist decided to use her in a project that they needed a volunteer for. Anna wasn’t a volunteer because she didn’t really agree but she they suggested that she was going to die anyway so they had no choice. They told her she was going to be put in a spaceship to test how the ship will do in space next to Pluto.
When they let her out of the clinic for the first time she felt almost happy to see such light, but not too happy because she knew what was to come. At the day of the project Anna stood in front of the spacecraft with Cindy, which now was tattered and eroded by age. When they led her in the craft and launched her off it took almost 6 hours before she got around to Pluto. The project was almost complete. Anna thought for a second and realized what time it was in her mind’s clock. She waits a few seconds then begins to scream uncontrollably. The craft shakes at the pressure of her voice and begins to shatter. It explodes at 7:53P.M. Before the spacecraft exploded Anna, for the first time in her life, smiled.
Three months later another craft goes to where Anna’s craft exploded. They found no trace of the ship of her body or the craft. All they found was a small red headed rag doll that was tattered and eroded by age…..
