So that's the new and updated top 20, with the other 3 British teams included as well. Scotland and Wales climb up quite a bit, and England are up to 6th equal with Mexico.
Italy have dropped to 11th now, which is rather surprising, although they didn't win against either Wales or Yugoslavia.

Yup, it's a weird points system that doesn't work too well.

They just do it as a point system on who defeats who and it is basically like a league so it really is completely useless as teams like the Mexico just defeat poorer teams in friendlys the whole time.

obviously a draw against Macedonia helps a great deal in getting you up the rankings because they're such a powerhouse of football ........
