I hope the analog sticks wont get clogged up with that white powdery stuff as it ruins your controller ( on the N64). It made it harder to move and less responsive.
Three ways to clean your N64 controller are
1.Use a tissue or cloth to clean the powder away but some may still get in.
2. Open your controller. It really isnt complicated. Take out the screws on the case of the controller and open. Inside you will see another section with four screws holding it in place. Take out those and unclip the back of the box. In here, try not to touch many parts. You need to blow hard to get the dust out and then move the circuit board out. You will then see cogs. Get any powder out of here. Re assemble the controller and test it. If it seems to feel it grinds something, open it again and move the cogs slightly apart but make sure they still touch each other. It should work as good as new.
3. If you dont want to open your controller and break the warranty, My friend recommends putting talcum powder inside and moving the analoge stick around a bit. It may wreak your controller.
