In July 1969, NASA try to land Apollo 11 on the moon. But they've got a problem.
They want to televise the moment they land on the moon, as well as keep contact with these people throughout the whole mission. But they can't do it with just one dish on Earth...
...think of the Earth as a basketball... actually, never mind. :0)
So they not only need one dish one side of the world, they need another. And the biggest dish that could possibly receive a signal from the moon, is a gigantic dish situated in a field of sheep, run by three wonderful characters... amd NASA seem to have a problem understanding the way these three people operate.
It's just great. It's heart-warming, plain fun, and a true story. And it's cheap too because nobody's heard of it, it seems. Only person I recognised in it was Sam Neill, who played the part well, but every character in the film was duly suited to what they did, and the acting is excellent.
