I have been reading posts on another forum, and they are all pointing to one common problem. Delays with ordering on-line. This problem seems to be worse with the high-street giants, namely Comet, Currys and Dixons. Many of the people who have pre-ordered at their on-line sites, a large majority who pre-ordered on or around the 7th even, have still not received their PS2's as promised. Some of them have even had their letters to confirm that they would receive their console on the 24th nov, but nothing turned up, even though some of them paid extra to have it delivered by over-night courier. When they have enquired, they have not been given any explanation of this foul-up, some have even been told that they will not receive their system until the new year.

How could this happen? The pre-order system was put in place to make the whole situation fair, was it not?

According to Sony they have distributed the consoles to these retailers, so what have the retailers done with them?

One conclusion that is being put foreward is that the stores have mis-allocated their stock, so that the wrong people got their PS2's at the wrong time, and they are now struggling to find the stock to remedy this problem. If this is true, it makes a mockery of the whole process.

So what of the people that are still waiting? When will they get their PS2's?

I think that Sony should step in and sort it out with the retailers sooner rather than later, otherwise the situation could well get ugly.

You all saw what the French got up to.................!
