Does anyone have this album (called Aqualung - inspired or what).
It looks pretty good and I like this kind of music, but it's still my money.
Anyone have it?
Anyone like it?
Anyone........?

That album (Open Heart Zoo) is good because it's not just a vehicle for one song that is patently better than all the others. In fact Martin Grech avoids anything of the sort by releasing a very varied album. Dali is heavy rock and nail-gun guitar riffs interspersed with highly sung bits, which rocks. I like "Tonight" as well, but all in all, that album was good for being a pleasant surprise, whereas Aqualung was more of an expected result.

I've heard the album.

Mr. Happy recommended me the song a while back and I agree it is the best track on the album. The others, to me, seem pretty samey in many aspects but saying that I'm not a big fan of this kind of music though some of it is pretty good.

If you are like hardcore Coldplay then you will probably love it.

Coldplay are cool though.

It's better than I expected it would be... but for the definitive "ad music in good album shocker" album go for Martin Grech's Open Heart Zoo, which is pretty damn good, and not just the song off the Lexus ad.

I've got it.

I think it's good, but not outstanding.

The advert song is the best track by several miles. And the rest of it varies in influences, going from Oasis to Muse (one song sounds really like Muse's version of Feelin' good, right down to the distorted vocals) to Radiohead.

Personally I'd recommend that you go for Ben and Jason's superb emoticons album, which is what the Aqualung album would be if it was superb.
