"Silent Hill 2 Restless Dreams for PS2?"

I heard that in America the XBox version of silent hill 2 (Restless Dreams) will be ported to the Playstation2, but I was wondering if this version will see the day of light in the UK?

I'll wait for the Directors Cut to hit the UK, then, because I don't have the original.

Due to the xbox 'not selling so well' aka 'flopped' Konami decided to bring SH2:Restless dreams to the PS2.

I'm playing SH2 on the XBOX at the moment. I've also played it on the PS2.

There's supposed to be an extra bit where you play as Maria, but I've not come across yet.
There's an extra mini-game on the XBOX version called "Born From A Wish", and there's 6 different endings - I think there was only 4 on the PS2 version.

In the new OPS2 it says there will be a Silent Hill: Directors Cut released on ps2 and it is the same as the xboxs Silent Hill 2. It has a few extra hours of gameplay.

From what i here it's just Silent Hill 2, but in a small bit of the game you get to play as Maria. Pretty pointless in getting it unless you don't own Silent Hill 2, wait for Silent Hill 3 insetead.

Wouldn't it be a bit a pointless? Isn't it pretty much identical to the PS2 version?
