Horse racing game. You start managing one horse, you have to train it, feed it and look after it. Then, by entering it in various races you earn money to build up your stable. You could have horses for jumping, the flat, hurdles, and ultimately you build up to the big one, the GRAND NATIONAL! (Or if it's sold in the U.S.A. it could be the Kentucky Derby or equivalent.)
You could diversify and buy and sell horses, enter into trials like Badminton. You could ride the horses yourself or hire jockeys of varying calibur to ride them for you whilst you wheel and deal in the stands, or risk some of your prize money by placing a bet or two on the outcome of the races.
The horse could all have their own attributes, which would go to building up a form book over each season. So really it's a bit like a footie sim, but with hooves. The nearest we ever got to this was the dreaded Barbie Race and Ride, so why not revamp it a bit to go for the older gamer, say 14 plus.
