I am 14 years old and although I love videogames,my ps2{which I am still waiting for}will probably be one of the last consoles that I buy.But for the future of gaming , I think that games should hopefully become better and better because already games are so visually impressive that when the next generation of consoles comes around, people will not be so interested in the quality of the graphics but more the quality of the gameplay. This should mean that games developers will spend a lot more time on the feel of their games instead of the look.I have always thought that quality is better than quantity and although I am happy that the original Playstation has a good selection of games,I can't help thinking that some games have been rushed out but with consoles in the future, games developers will be concentrating mainly on gameplay and this should mean that gamesplayers can choose a game that they like the look of and buy it without needing to look at the review to see if it has been given a good game.Obviously all games won't be perfect but if all the games on all the consoles are very good then the competition would be a lot fiercer and it wouldn't be down to who has the best games.

But when you are 19 you will have saved up enough for the PS3 which should be out by then (512-bit, Dual Emotion Engines, with Turbo) and also there is the risk that too many developers will have opted for the X-Box as their chosen console, so you may have to save up for one of those too.
