Awesome film, about a mafia hitman who lives by the samurai code. It's got everything: mobsters who watch cartoons, guns, a mean man in leather, a Mercedes, snazzy hi-fi's, blank cds, bears, swords, hip-hop (don't run!), mansions, Wind in the Willows, pigeons, briefcases, gold chains, a cute wittle girl, an "honourable" ending, and to top it off, a French Ice Cream salesman. What more would you ask for in a movie? (Apart from a Mini)

It really is a cool film. Your Arnie's have machine guns and loud music, but this film just uses silenced pistols and some cool camera movement to make it seem cool. It has class. But I was worried at the point of "*gasp!* It's Ghost Dog!*cue heart attack*", not sure if it was comedy or bad acting. Meh, still entertainment.

Go see/what did you think?/ it wasn't that bad!s. Yes.s.

No. It's great. A cult classic in my books.
Jarmush rules although I have only seen two of his films.
Mystery Train Rules.
Tom Waits rules.

as a gangster film it was ok. it relied too much on the 'mystique' of the teachings of the samurai. a less than impressive ending.

conclusion : 6/10

Frank Skinner's idea of a philosophical, deep film.

(take as you will)

I thought the film was alright. It spent more time on the cod side of philosophy and got a bit silly towards the end (did he really have to top some bear hunters?) Jim Jarmusch is a good director, but in this instance I think he ballsed up a little.

If you want to see a top film combining hip-hop and Japanese culture watch Beat Takeshi's "Brother". It's a much, much better film.

Class film: I liked the Samurai texts that proceeded relevant scenes. Not sure about the pigeons though...

Over the years I've become very jaded after many bad experiences with customer services, you have bucked the trend. Polite and efficient from the Freeola team, well done to all involved.
Second to none...
So far the services you provide are second to none. Keep up the good work.
