Robert Pires completed the full 90 minutes of a specially-arranged friendly against QPR, which Arsenal won 5-1 after being 1-0 down at half time. Pires scored one goal and created another.

He was only expected to play 45 minutes, but lasted the whole 90 with no ill-effects to his knee.

According to TeamTalk.com, he's not expected to feature against Everton this Saturday, but should start on the bench for the Champion's League home game against Auxerre next Tuesday.

lol -- Kanu is scoring for fun at the moment and is setting up goals for a lot of the others and has hit a rich vein of form and you wanna replace him with someone who is still young, just come back from injury and hasnt played many games for Arsenal and is yet to prove his worth?

Move over Arsene Wenger...

:D

Very true. For the first few games, I'm sure he'll be a bit-part player, but as he regains match fitness, I think his inclusion is inevitable.

The question really is: who from the current midfield loses their place?

I wonder if he'll get his place back in the team, as Arsenal have not had a bad performance.
