In the next square, the pair of you catch the attention of another group of Romans - target the big purple Carnifex with your lightning bow attack, and while it's jumping between the various soldiers run up and pound as many hits into the Carnifex as you can. As soon as your lightning attack wears off your priority is keeping Romans away from Archie - again, use your shield a lot. Watch out for when the Carnifex attacks you - as he draws his big sword back, hit block+jump to roll around him, and pile hits into his backside. Be sure to move the camera to constantly keep Archie in view here. You're unlikely to get through without him taking at least a couple of hits, although it is occasionally possible to get through unscathed.
As soon as Archimedes starts moving again, run on ahead of him - there's a health shrine that you might be able to grab a few health orbs from before Archie catches up. As soon as he sees the Romans and tries to sneak past, let a lightning arrow fly at one of them then immediately pile in with your twin-swords. Again, watch out for Romans running past you to target Archimedes, and take them down as a priority. Don't let Archimedes get too far ahead - he will run past the cul-de-sac you're fighting in, round the corner and get ambushed by another group of Romans coming the other way, watch the radar for a group of red dots appearing in front of him. Unless you're very quick in dispatching the group of Romans he tried to sneak past, you will need to drop them and run to help him.
Again, use the lightning bow attack to stun his assailants and the shield bash is your best friend to keep them off of him. Expect him to take some more hits here.
Run with him around the corner, and wait nearby as he tries to get into the safehouse. Suprise suprise, it's full of Romans. You should be able to deal with these guys without using any power moves, kill the first weaklings that come out the door, then retreat down to where Archimedes is cowering to cover his back personally. Shield bash, shield bash, shield bash.
Once this encounter is over, follow Archie down the street to the hilariously badly voiced man who gives you directions. Don't wait for these - turn left at the safehouse and left again to where he's directing you, and let a lightning arrow fly at the group of Romans standing around there. Watch out for the Legionaries here - big Romans that look like they're wearing hockey masks, some of them will run to attack Archimedes and they run fast. If you have a full power bar left at this point, let another arrow fly to root them to the spot again, and let rip with the twin-swords while they're standing there convulsing. If you do it right you should only be left with one or two to fight. There is a health shrine around here somewhere that you can top up with if it still has any juice left, make sure you don't get more than 20-30m away from Archimedes though.
Now follow Archimedes down the street. He will stop at the corner, peer round and spy a group of Romans. To the far side of the group of Romans is an explosive barrel, if you move across the street from Archimedes you should have a free shot at it. Once you've blown it up all the Romans will come and attack you - they're quite tough Romans, but (I think) they only target you and not Archimedes, who will continually peer round the corner oblivious to the raging ruck that's going on around him. Again, watch for the Carnifex' attack pattern and use the roll to evade it.
Once you've killed these Romans, follow Archimedes round the corner and he'll stop at a gateway, waiting for a Roman patrol to go by. He'll make a bolt for it at the end and get into his compound, but all the Romans will notice and come and attack you. If you like you can lead them round the level, picking up health and power from shrines on the way, but they will also attack the door to Archimedes safehouse (see the healthbar that appears in the top-right of the screen) and if that gets destroyed, you lose. Kill all the Romans while keeping the door intact to win.
