Have any of you heared about the shooting in America.This is a sick world that people have to grow up in.Do you what to wake up to hear this all the time, I think the answer is no.So what can we do, well if America made it more hard to get a gun but no America make it easy.It isso easy to get a gun as it is to get beer.Is this the kind of world we what.tell me you thoughts on all this

Anwyay, gun laws in america are lax due to the constitution. Somewhere it says it is every americans "right to bear arms" now remember htis was written quite a long time ago. Nowdays you do not need a rifle to protect yourself from indians or rampaging bears (well only if you live wayyy out in the country) Tighter controls never come into effect due to a number of powerful senate people being members of the NRA (national rifle assosiation). Hopefully the recent shooting will persuade them to give out stricted laws. But ive spoken to people whos parents keep a loaded handgun in a tin under the bed, and take it out when they go on long drives in case they are attacked. Anyway, all the panic in washington, if you look at the figures, your still more likley to die crossing the road than you are to be killed by a sniper.
Whoever is doing the shootings is obviously trained and has a high quality weapon and knows how to use it. Background checks should be done on people buying guns and certain gun types should be banned (ie 50 cals, guns used to "target shooting" which have an effective range against armour of about 3000 metres and an effective range against people of 8000 metres (by armour i mean light tanks etc)

I live around that area you speak of and my friends aunt got killed by the sniper. I am somewhat hispanic if you guys haven't known yet(my parents are from Venezuela). I am scared to go outside without like another 5 people.:( I'm dead serios. I said dead.:(
The north Americans have some constitutional right to have firearms. The problem is while there are many "law abiding" citizens who legally own guns and keep them locked up (supposedly safe) there are loads of illegal firearms in america and it would be easier to get hold of one of these (used mostly in robberies and street crime).
So even if they made it harder to get hold of hand guns and outlawed them, it wouldn't stop the kind of person whom presumably illegaly has a sniper rifle.

what kind of hypocrosy is it when he attacks (verbally) one country for allegedly having 'weapons of mass destuction' when in his own country there are people who own guns who are stupid enought to shoot at unexploded bombs with their rifles! or try to use it as an alternative to a drill! i dont see how they stand any grounds on sudam if its practicly everyones right to own a weapon of mass destruction. you can kill twenty people with a sub-mashine gun, and about 8-9 people with a handgun before the police even arrive!
