Daily Radar reports:

"The Associated Press has reported that a South Korean man has died after a marathon gaming session lasting for 86 hours (that's three days and 14 hours, in case you were wondering).

The unemployed 24-year-old was found dead on Tuesday at an internet cafe in Kwangju. Witnesses said that the man had been glued to his computer since late on Friday and had no decent sleep and meals. It's not know what game he was playing.

He eventually collapsed in front of the counter early on Tuesday morning but soon regained consciousness, only to then head off to the toilet where he was later found dead.

South Korea is one of the most net-savvy countries in the world, with over half its population having internet access. The country also boasts around 22,000 internet cafes, many of which are open 24 hours a day."

This teaches us an important lesson...life is very fragile. Oh, and don't take crack...

Seriously though, how can someone play a game for three days straight without breaks? My back side would ache like hell and I'd be hungry. No game (not even Counterstrike) is THAT immersive. Or perhaps it's just something they put in the water down (or up, I'm no Geographer damnit!) in South Korea.

Man dies from gaming huh?

Well would someone please tell me what would have happened if he did a stupidly long stint like that at something similar, like singing maybe. He'd die anyway. The subject is irrelevant, the reason he died is that he was stupid enough to do something for a long time without a break.

Over 3 days of non stop gaming!!!! Bloody hell, it's no wonder he collapsed and died. I can play games, at the most for 2 hours non-stop, and I usually have a break somewhere in the middle whether it be to get something to eat or just go to the toilet.

When people play games for 86 hours they are really putting themselves at risk.
