I was listening to some mp3s today and "Jimmy Olsen's Blues" came on (mp3 player set on random). The group was considered a bit of a joke when they came out circa 1993 but their stuff is actually pretty good.

Think I may invest in the first album to play in my car, cheer me up a bit on the way to work!

And I seem to remember him having a microphone stand with a steering wheel as the base.

And a beard.

And the bass player had and Acid yellow smiley on his bass.

They were either students or hipppies, wither way, the singer wore on of those comedy jester hats you see on crusties at festivals. Which should be punishable by death.

I had their album Pocket full of Cryptonite me thinks it was called, oh and Craw was right, they are freaks.

Quite sure.

Are you sure you're not mistaking them for the Wonderstuff?

Freaks who should never have been allowed to make a record.
