It seems such a simple choice to make... sadly Sunderland didn't see that.
Although next time a managerial job becomes vacant and Wilkinson is jobless (trust me that will come sooner as you think) I'll make sure I place a bet on him to take it. He always seems to get jobs when he's never mentioned in the press. Funny that, I wonder what odds he had for this one...

I can't understand how Howard Wilko is an Improvement on Peter Reid I really don't.
Peter Reid Made Sunderland from a bunch of crap into a team and brought them to where they are today, he's a decent manager who will get snapped up easily.

Although he was the last man to win the old First division...but also flogged Cantona for next to nothing...
Would have preffered if they had got McCarthy in. Then at least Keane would get back in the Ireland team.
