Not a bad player, by any account. However, he's played once for England, and in a friendly at that, and played "ok", the highlight of his game being an assist for team-mate Alan Smiths goal.

But now not being named in the England squad, he's kicking up fuss like he's got 30 caps and 50 goals to his name.

Since when did he have the right to demand a place in the england squad?

Bowyer is a good player and I think that he should be on the bench. If he is not picked, then he shouldn't moan.

If a donkey like Emile Heskey kept getting picked every time even though all he does is fall down all over the place and i didn't get in the squad after setting a goal up on my debut i'd be pretty peeved off to.
Course if he is a proffessional he should keep quiet and let his football do the talking

That's just the problem with young players today.
They play well, earn the right, and then they get all big-headed and think they're ontop of the world and stuff.

Soon he'll be demanding a new contract worth a rediculous amount of money, just like both Keane and Beckham have done in the past.

But surely if they really ARE 'Proffesionals' then they'll know that they shouldn't over-react to little issues such as this?

He should be gratefull he has even played ONCE for the full England team!
Especially after what's gone-on in the past during the last year or two.
There are many players out-there - like Kevin Campbell for example - who play to their best week-in week-out but fail to even get a look-in from the Manager who has his eyes on Michael Owen and Emile Heskey.
So many real talents pass-by un-noticed.... Bowyer is lucky!
