As there are now so many games that you can change the characters, scenery and weapons in, how about adapting one so that you play as your favorite games character. That way Sonic, Mario, Lara, Crash and all those others could have a deathmatch to finally see who would come out on top.
You could each pick your favorite character and use them to win, that way you could claim victory once and for all. Each player would obviously have different weapons, relating to the character they played. The scenery would be taken from their games, so you could play off Sonic against Jet Set Willy in Marioworld or Lara vs Crash Bandicoot in Micky's castle of Illusion!
Needless to say, my money would be on Sonic.
