"Thinking of getting a gamecube.."

Perhaps this week or in the next month, what are your views on the console itself? bearing in mind i already own a PS2 and an Xbox is it worth it? i loved my N64 and i know nintendo are top notch for multiplayer games, which games do you recommend? i also have a GAD claim to, so i was thinking of claiming a cube game, mario seems the obvious choice, but there are loads to choose from!, i'm open to any suggestions for games, thanks in advance!

Great choice SpikeCast :D. Now do yourself a favour and pick up copies of Star Wars Rogue Leader: Rogue Squadron 2, and Resident Evil. Those on top of Mario Sunshine and Super Smash Bros. Melee are the best games out at the moment. Also, you'll be wanting to get an extra pad (best get an official one, don't trust the other stuff) and check out a Memory Card 251.

Also, I'd advise you against games like Pikmin, Doshin, and Luigi's Mansion. With all the amazing games coming out, they're just not worth the money. Pikmin and Luigi's Mansion are great, but too short, and Doshin's been getting some poor reviews. If you want them, pick up a copy when Nintendo bring out the player's choice range.

You should also be looking out for:

StarFox Adventures
Metroid Prime
Animal Crossing
Legend Of Zelda GC
Wario World
Eternal Darkness
Die Hard Vendetta
Mario Party 4
Nintendo Wavebird Controller

+ Third party titles which will almost always be best on GC (e.g. Timesplitters 2)

I like Mario but i am poo at the jumping stuff. But I am great about Resident Evil

It's meaningless without Res Evil. Heh, only joking, but it is better than Mario.

And the Resident Evil's

Get Mario (as you have) but not SSBM unless you have friends. Its dull otherwise. Resi is also an excellent game, as is Pikmin, Doshin, Wave Race, Luigis Mansion.....etc etc etc

Starfox looks good, its a shame about rare going, that hasn't bothered me one bit though, although they are a great company! bring on the games!
