Does your new headunit have aux input for dvd etc? if it does, it'll have control to change the source to aux, and cd-phono inputs on the back. If it does, just run a lead around to your glovebox.

I used to use of them tape adapter thingy's for my old car, but my new car only has a CD player so its useless! I can burn normal CDs with my PC but i'm so used to using MP3 CD player where i have 100+ tracks on one disc!

I play my minidisc and Mp3 players in the car by using a tape adaptor. Quality is fine, and it cost me about a fiver from argos. This will all change soon when I get my new headunit, as the one I'm after has an auxilary input for dvd and the like, so I'll run the MD and MP3 through there.
