Playing a Guitar is something I feel I need to do to achieve my goal in life. Singing is aswell, but I see myself as a better singer then a guitar player.
Why was I feeling better you may ask?
Well, not only was I playing and doing many other things at the same time, I also felt creative and felt I was actually getting somewhere. I don't actually have a teacher so I was learning a few things off the internet put with my skills I already have for about a year now.
You may ask what this has to do with games.
Well, whilst I was playing I thought to myself that I hadn't had the urge to play a game tonight. The night before I had been wanting to get my hands on Mario Sunshine, only this afternoon I was drooling over it in the shop. But a certain event in Music Technology today made me come think, come home and then want to do something good with my spare time. Something good for myself.
All of this got me thinking about where I place playing video games on my list of what I like to do best. I'd call gaming a hobbie like many other things, it's one of my main hobbies. No doubt about it, you all love games. Ok, some of you may place games at the top of your list and play for hours whilst others may be a bit more relaxed about it all. I'd call myself more of a relaxed player now then I have ever been and you know what? I'm proud.
Since I've been getting older gaming has seemed to be slipping away from me on a number of occasions. It came naturally, I just stopped playing. I've read stuff on here which shows others have done the same, some people thinking they are weird or have no lifes for playing games all the time. Well no, you do have a life because that's what you enjoy doing, if you enjoy it, do it. But today I've really been able to place games on my list for myself personally and seen that playing games isn't everything, it won't get you anywhere unless you want a job in the industry.
We all have a mind and inside that mind we have ambitions. Let that ambition come out and go for what you want to do.
Grix is a great writer, he should write when he's in the mood and get where he wants to be.
Sheepy has the same dreams as me, don't let anything stop you and nothing should stop him.
There's loads more ambitions out there we just need to live them, do something for them and not set games as too high a standard in our lives. I'll play games alot, but just as time to relax, get away.
You're most likely to be more of a hardcore gamer during your early teens but when you get to around my age, 16, you'll notice changes. I'm not taking you into a sex education lesson here but just keep it cool and live your dream.
Just consider how much gaming you do and how much you should be doing. After all, it is your life and you only live once.
