ezboard don't allow you to use pop up killers to close pop ads, at least not their ones!
The diamond web award thing is there to allow users to vote for the forum if they think it's good enough for it!
They can choose not to vote if they want to!

As I said, harsh but true. I've had this conversation with someone else on this board, around the same sort of issue. If you dont like my comments you can disregard them. No skin off my nose.
As I see it there are two reasons for someone to build a website. One is to provide some sort of service or community. The other is for the sake of it; to pracise your webmaking skills. If youre not getting the traffic you need then you are doing something wrong. An internet award such as your 'diamond' one isnt going to change that. But possibly a nicely laid out, well designed site with some decent content will.
I'm not just used to this website. I work for an consultancy and Ive been in the business some time now. Ive worked on many projects including some web service ones of varying sizes. Although Im normally a client/server programmer Ive been involved with frontend design and usability testing too.
*Noone* likes popups and there are various ways around them. All involve moving away from boards and hosts such as the ones youre using. On my site Im starting to write my own based on various freeware boards that you can google for and that freeola will host for free. You just download the code and upload it into your webspace.
Anyhow, as I said. Ignore all that if you want. You to you.

The most likely reason you don't like the colours is 'cos you've been on SR all this time and you've been used to the one colour set out!
