I wonder what would happen if the government legalise all drugs? Whether there will be any change in demand and supply for drugs? If they did all become legal, will people think it is "not cool" or whatever and think it is not that much a big deal so stop taking it? Or if they will think "lets go on a massive bindge because it is legal and we can do it"??

Thoughts???

Perhaps you should read my long and thought-out post on the subject, called Legalisation.

There's no difference between a junkie and a smoker or an alcoholic.
And someone that enjoys a social pint is no better than someone that enjoys a social puff.
If anything, smokers are worse because the sole purpose of their drug is to deliver a carcinagenic into their system with no beneficial results other than to pacify a craving - no high, no urge to be peaceful and loving.

Okay couple of things here;

*I have asthma and have to pay prescription charges for inhalers. Why should cannabis users get a drug with somewhat questionable effects and that results in long term damage, for free ? And given the already poor state of the NHS where does the drug money come from ? Income tax ? That's a recipe for a repeat of poll tax riots....

*Wouldn't allowing registered companies to grow it give them a legalized monopoly. and increase the temptation to mix in less of the drug and more junk to cut costs and increase profits, like illegal drug dealers ?

*Where'ya gonna grow these fields full of cannabis, and protect them ?

My view is it's fine if someone wants to use drugs, but I think they are stupid and pathetic, worse than smokers and alcoholics. Most of the latter will at least admit what they do causes them some kind of harm, but drug users ? Nope, they not harming anyone.....

Hardly a control, since all you have to do is walk to another shop to get another 8th.

OK well I have heard all of your views. My view is that I think Canabis should be legalised in every sense. But like with Parcetamol you can only buy for example and eighth at one go in one shop. I think for medical purposes it should be free. You can also grow ans sell it yourself as long as you become a registerd company.

I still think that, if drugs like cannabis and stuff can be illegal (not counting the current trend), there is no justification for allowing the sale of tobacco products. They are *guaranteed* to kill you.

The government is simply fleecing us for as much money as possible. *Sigh*

It's our nature. Just look at how easilly power can corrupt.

Humans are not designed to live within a set of rules, otherwise we wouldn't need to enforce them. We are still barbarians, through and through. We just do an awfully good job of denying it.

I jest, of course.

Dont take drugs, because you're too stupid and will shoot the horse into your head.

Give them to me, I am a responsible adult that is aware of the dangers and really, really doesn't care.
