is it just me, or are acclaim spending as much money as microsoft on things as pointless as rare ;). the turok name payout fiasco, the monkey assistance serice ruckus, the _____, and my favourate, the paying for of speeding fines on the release of burnout 2 by acclaim, a stunt which is likly to involve the breaking of several children's necks from a few unthinking adolecents. what do they think they are going to achieve? "oh, acclaim killed that kid last week with that stupid stunt, sounds like a good basis on which to buy burnout" or " hey, some geek got ten thousand pounds after a year of abuse for getting a dumb name by deed poll as apposed to his regular abuse, i'll quite happily put up with the blocky graphics beacause of that" it just doesn't make sense, the monkey thing alone seems fine, but it just makes them seem like a company trying to make themelves intantly popular. i certainly have may doubts about them from now on.

and i thought free radical made timesplitters?

Acclaim seem to be thinking of the phrase 'Any publicity is good publicity'.

And it's working, because this is the 3rd thread about Acclaim I've seen pop up in the last 24 hours just on this forum alone.

Next time you're browsing through games on the shelf I bet the name 'Acclaim' jumps out at you, even if by then you can't remember exactly why it should.

sorry, the _____ was supposed to be a stunt i'd forgotton about and was going to look up. just think of it as anything you dislike about acclaim :)
