Ok seeming like im cutting down on posts I might as well upset some people as it wont effect me what they say so here it goes
Im an annoyed at the way PS1 has become the most popular console ever released and the PS2 being the most popular each day, mainly because of the PS1.
I think if anyone played the N64 first and then the PS1 they would realise how bad the console is.
Graphics are always blocky and the games are never as original, which ill add makes the game better.
If I look at the games released on the console I can see a few TOP class games.
Final fantasy, MGS, GT, tekken and resi evil are the main 5 in many people’s eyes. Im sure many others will know of more but I mean games that the whole games industry has heard of not just people with a PS1.
Granted they are amazing games. So they finally get some amazing games so what does the developer do…make sequels. This only proves how boring the console is.
For god’s sake, sure final fantasy series is still good as it uses the same Idea but changes everything else, story line, characters etc.
But the GT series just got boring, first game was brill but then they make a sequel which had hardly an new ideas.
The fact is people with a Nintendo console has more quality games released in a month than PS consoles do in there life time.
One thing ill give credit for to Playstation is that at least they called there second console Playstation 2 so people who buy it know that all you will get it graphically advanced, if that’s what they called advanced graphics, sequels of old games.
What I want is people to tell me PS2 games which live up to the games im about to say, which are on a the GC, and make them in the same genre cause you can not compare the likes of shooters with RPG. Can be future releases.

Grand Theft Auto 3
SSX Tricky
Fantavision
Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy
Final Fantasy X
Dropship
Dark Cloud
Metal Gear Solid: Sons of Liberty
Half Life
Giants: Citizen Kabuto
Kuri Kuri Mix
The main difference is, all the the above PS2 games were released over a year ago, some of your Gamecube titles listed haven't even been released yet so it's a bit hard to judge how good they'll actually be, so I had trouble picking an equivalent game in those cases.
The differences are interesting, most PS2 games in the 'puzzle' genre revolve around music or 'bemani' style play, those in the Gamecube 'puzzle category' involve cute animals and bright colours. It's also interesting that you haven't picked any games in the motor-racing genre, whereas if you had I could have picked most of PS2's motor-racing games as equivalents (because most of them are good).
