I got 50 at the moment how many more do I need.

No it's 50 because the shine from the airstrip at the begining of the game and 49 shines from the 7th story in each level.

I have 17, and that took me a day and a half.

Well there is 120 in total, i have 60 but havent even considered it... probably 70 like the last game.

You have to beat Shadow Mario on every level I think (7th shine)

let me put it this way. When you have all 8 levels then you might be close
