Sometimes we argue about what games suit what ages, sometimes we agree that Resident Evil is only for the mature minded and sometimes we contemplate whether or not all next generation consoles should see a virtual 'Mother care'... Well I do anyway :) Whatever age you are here is a quick guide from 1-2 years up to 15 and over of what games you should be playing and if not, why not?! For budding scientists and for focused parents I am sure you will find something to suit yourself or your child's needs.

Age 1-2 Years:

Virtual Potty – As the title may suggest this is only acceptable for really young children or people with an equivalent mental age (like me :). The player controls a baby through his first steps whilst at the same time learning their ABC. If like me you still aren't sire what comes after M then this game could be the right choice for you. The control pad has to be smaller than the baby so we will stay well away from Microsoft when taking into consideration that their small hands have to be able to jump run and steal cookies :) There are training stages and then the levels progress in difficulty from easy right through to very easy. Escaping the evil grasp of your parents isn't going to be easy so you will need to browse the picture manual to understand what is fully accepted of you. Overall Virtual Potty is ideal for all next generation consoles and I am sure that you will all give it a try :) *Runs down to SR shop and pre-orders*

Age 2-5 Years:

Geek – Although this is made by the same people that designed the SWAT games it has nothing to do with hostage rescue. At this tender age it is most likely that you will be going to play school and then up to your first proper school at around the age of 4. This game teaches you very advanced uses of the English language including the meaning of the words; what, the and and (it makes sense just think it over :) The game gives the player the opportunity to learn, think and practice the more technically advanced side of the English language. For gamers who struggle with puzzles stay well away from this title because it makes Silent Hill 2 look like an audience with Luke Chadwick. Overall Geek is a great game for... erm... Budding Geeks!

Age 5-8 Years:

Ultimate Working Tournament – By this age you will have sat your first S.A.T or C.A.T exam so you will need an extra curricular activity to keep up your brain in working order. UWT is a game that will keep you on your toes as you try to steal the teachers answer papers whilst avoiding dangerous obstacles like the Sand Pit and the Milk Tray. The player will have to use his brain to find away to knock the teacher unconscious... I mean solve puzzles and fun activities :) Advanced moving techniques like dodging the moving chair and avoiding the class bully will need to be addressed, but with a bit of practice you will be a master thief... I mean genius in no time at all.

Age 8-11 Years:

Mortal Maths Test – Now this is going to prove quite tasking for the gamer who likes to lag about outside of school, but remember if you fail you die! I know that may sound a bit harsh but it ensures that no matter how hard you try to fail only one person will suffer and suffer they shall! Unlike other games in this genre (whatever genre it is?!) this is all done in real time so as questions are fired at you from the 'GEEK GUN' you will need to be on your toes and ready to fire back an adequate answer. Parents may be worrying that the title is encouraging their child to behave badly, but once they become more and more advanced they can purchase the add on pack.

Age 11-15 Years:

Examination Gun-Point – By now the player should be focused enough to realise that failure is not an option. At the beginning of the game the player is invited to the front of the class and grilled for 2 hours at gun-point over a series of hard questions. For every question you get wrong the player will be... erm... Shot! The teacher will start with easy questions and then progress through the 2 Times table right up to the killer question 2 X 7! Whether you want to die or not this game will give you the option of survival and death depending on your knowledge of education and the education system. Overall this is a great test of the player's ability to think under pressure and concentrate under extreme circumstances.

Age 15+ Years:

Project Facial Shaving - For the mature gamer on the market they can test themselves on everything they have learnt over the years by trying to steal and use their Dads electric shaver. The game will encompass Co-Ordinates, Thinking under pressure and stealth aspects which they learnt in 'Ultimate Working Tournament'. This game requires skill, knowledge of different subjects and a focused attitude which shows they want to succeed and get far in life. Overall this is the ultimate test of the player's ability and not a game for the faint hearted!

Parents who are interested in the packages above must contact me at [email protected] and for those who want to succeed in life must look out for the book which is being released by myself entitled "Don't be A Failure Like Myself". Enjoy the Packages and remember I am a liar... I mean learning can be fun at any age!
