It's an age-old question- what do Games Characters do when they aren't starring in games? Sponsorship deals? Possibly. But the truth is, they have Music careers, and have formed many a band. Here are just a few of those bands, and some lyrics from their songs:
[1] Tenacious DK
After appearing in many, many Donkey Kong games, DK had a break and teamed up with his best Buddy, Diddy, forming Tenacious DK. This following song is based on Tribute, by Tenacious D.
"A long time ago, me and my Friend Diddy here,
We were walking through a long and lonesome Jungle,
All of a sudden, there shined a shiny Banana, all the way up, in the tree.
And it said, "Play the best song in the Jungle, or I'll run away!"
Well me and Diddy, we looked at each other, and we each said…. "Okay"
And we played the first thing that came to our heads,
It just so happened to be, The worst song in the Jungle, it was the worst song in the Jungle
Look into my eyes, and it's easy to see, a banana plus me equals me no hungry
It wasn't destiny.
He asked us, "Be you humans?"
And we said "Nay, we are overly sized Ape's, Rock!"
This is not the greatest song in the Jungle, no,
This is just an attempt at getting me a shiny banana,
I couldn't remember the best song in the world,
No, someone sang it ages ago,
And the peculiar thing my fellow apes is this, the song we never sung some time ago,
Sounded absolutely nothing like this,
This is just a cheesy attempt for a shiny Banana!"
Yes, well, I can guarantee that there is no way that will reach number 1, let alone 100! Anyway, here is our next band, Mon Jovi, with their song based upon Everyday, by Bon Jovi.

That would turn away and run,
Everytime I saw you coming,
But now,
I have the know-how,
And I'm gonna shock you,
With my Thunderbolt.

I'm not gonna pokefight, everyday
I'm, gonna spread my wings and fly,

Who in their right mind is going to listen to some little monsters who find it fun to attack with Energy bolts? *Zap* Oh, sorry Pikachu, anyway (Ow!) here's our third band, Link 182 with their song All the small things.
