Reviewing the case , in the top right corner we have the early dreamcast. Altough it is the least powerful, it sure as shown us what we can expect from next-gen consoles. Most of Dreamcast's exclusive games came mainly from Sega themselves as giant companies like Ea were not interested in supporting the dreamcast at all.tHER WAS of course CAPCOM who tried to do all they can for Sega by bring almost all of their games like the Streetfighter and reident evil series. Infact Capcom did even try to get a exclusive (rs:code veronica) but I heard that it has be set to released for the Ps2 too next year.
Next we have the Ps2. As it has been released very recently it is the games cosole that every one wants for Christmas. As its predecessor I think that it too will have a good life span of about 3-4years. I believe that the PS2 will be a platform where we shall see the most games coming out as most games that have come out for a console , 60% have been on the playstation. Altough the Ps2 does look like a strong contneder, lately there have been a few boo boo made by Sony as it has et its grip go of great exclusive titles such as the carsh bandicoot series, silent hill series and the spectalur MGS series which have strangly being set for the Xbox.
Lastly we have two consoles which have at the moment been set to release at the same time ,the Gamecube from the big N and the xbox, a new contender from Microsoft. Firstly ther is no doubt that Nintendo will not come out with great forst-party exclusive games from such companies as Rare. Altough this would be pretty good what we don't want to see is too many mario titles (mario party, mario tennis, Mario kart), enen though all gamers adore characters like Mario, Nintendo try to think of newer character names.
And now we have the new guy on the block the Xbox."could this be the next playstation ? " is the question that everyonr have been asking themselves, it sure has the power to win on paper but does it have the important stuff, deliver great games? well Microsoft have already announced that they are willing to put HALF A BILLION DOLLARS!!! (This is what i call commitment) Also along with that they have hired 18 top developers to make exclusive titles! Xbox ids the sort of console where you can expect to see Pc games being ported over (get ready for unreal2 and quake3!) .
