The Ministry of Defence has announced today that after the success of the American Department of Defence's game "America's Army" that a special British version is nearing completion. It will feature;

*Online messaging between players with a 1 in 4 chance that the player you message won't receive anything.

*Weapons ranges for the SA Rifle, M16 and Stinger missile launcher. Players can use all three weapons to complete their missions, though earl playtests show that using the SA Rifle anywhere other than during the training missions results in your squad getting killed as thier weapons jam and they have to clean the weapons mid battle.

*Choice of vehicles ! Range Rovers, Tanks, Chinooks, Apaches ! Range Rover levels involve driving along treacherous roads not designed for the vehicles with a 80% chance you'll have an accident and kill team members. Tank levels in the desert are hilarious, and missions with the Chinook and Apache are "eventful"

*Take your team from training to war, but make sure you don't lose any of them in initiation rituals and through macho bullying !

*Go into real life mission scenarios with no idea where the enemy are, who they are, and what you're supposed to be doing or the rules of engagement !

*Sub games include "pub crawl" "harass the ladies" "fiddle expenses" "hide evidence" and many more !

Early playtesters have complained that the game is virtually unplayable - players cannot communicate reliably, essential weapons cannot fire accurately and don't always work, armoured vehicles and helicopters are accident prone and prone to malfunctions and that keeping a squad in one piece during the training levels is too hard. Combat missions become bogged down in confused orders, lack of support and intelligence, and many other mishaps.

The Ministry of Defence has commented that the game is an accurate (generally) simulation of what the public and media expect from the British Army.

*No offence to anyone meant here, but we do have a somewhat messed up army at the moment...*

Hehe.

It was an alright post though...inariably someone, in SR's long history, has done a variant of pretty much all the long-ish topics around here.

Sorry, that was ages ago anyway, I didn't realise someone had already done a spoof on America's Army, oh well back to copying and posting Lord Of The Rings into some posts.......*laughs madly* *maybe*

Over the years I've become very jaded after many bad experiences with customer services, you have bucked the trend. Polite and efficient from the Freeola team, well done to all involved.
