I've got 1.2gig Athlon processor, 256mb ram and a Geoforce 4 64mb video card, and I have to run it on 16bit colour with "normal" detail level and it's still a bit juddery on big levels.
It's cool but an absolutely ferocious spec eater.

Well me and time_warp have been playing each other recently, and its been really fun. consequently if anyone else would like to play they are extended an invitation. Anyone with broadband gets free sandwiches.
It runs good offline with bots etc and all the detail ramped, but the online thing kills it.
And I realised that I dont actually enjoy playing online against strangers, because 95% of them are hardcore serious players that just wipe the floor with you.
And that's no fun at all.
So now I have Hitman 2 and that rules.
Quite simple the Geforce 4 MX is a sham and is basically a Direct 7 compatible video card. The Geforce 4 ti series cards have full DirectX 8.1 support. As do the ATI Radeon 9000 and 9700 cards.
Basically, for this game to run properly you need one of these cards, anything else just doesn't cut it. The reason being that DirectX 8.1 cards have things in the called Pixel and Vertex Shaders, and these are used to make some really wicked looking textures.
My measly system is an Athlon 1.4Ghz, 256 meg Ram and an ATI Radeon 900 Pro and the game runs sweetly on my system. 800*600 32bit colour full detail.
Basically you need a recent video card (and not a Geforce 4 MX), Nvidia have been very bad boys in marketing the Geforce 4 Mx as they have it's a card which is an update of the Geforce 2MX series, and is not a true little brother of the proper "Ti" series cards.

I'd have to uninstall allot, I'm just glad it's not a game I really want at the minute. Though I am seeing about installing a second hard drive, so that'll give me much more space, though I aint thinking about doing that for a fair while yet.
