Apparently feeling he had nothing to lose, Sid Justice double crossed Vince McMahon by kicking out of Hogan's leg drop at WMVIII. Sid had been caught cheating on a drug test a few weeks earlier and was going to be suspended. Sid's manager, Harvey Whippleman (who is said to have supplied Sid with the false urine sample that WWF official Dave Hebner found Sid carrying in a vile) reacted quickly, jumping into the ring and getting his man disqualified before all hell broke loose.

Triple H (WM2000) was the first heel to leave a WrestleMania with WWF Title

Undertaker was in Suburban Commando with Hogan

Yokozuna held the WWF Title for the shortest time before being defeated. Yokozuna won WWF Title at Wrestlemania 9 and then lost it 128 SECONDS later to Hulk Hogan.

Dean Douglas held the Intercontinental title for the shortest time. HBK forfeited the title to him due to injury at In Your House 4 and then went on to lose the belt to Razor Ramon the same night.

Actually the Kid was wrestling in England and the real reason he left was because of a locker room fight with him and Jacques Rougeau. The Bulldog opted to keep contact with the WWF and because of that and other reasons; the Bulldog and the Dynamite Kid haven't spoken in years.

In 1991, Ric Flair was fired/quit WCW. He showed up in the WWF soon thereafter holding the WCW title and claimed to be the "Real World's champion." The reason he was able to leave the company with the title is because he owned that title. WCW later bought it back from Flair for reportedly $75,000.

Randy Savage and Miss Elizabeth Hewlitte were supposedly "married" in August 1991. Actually, that was an angle to get a better buy rate for the pay-per-view. Savage and Liz were married in December 1984.

On October 1, 1992, Kerry Von Erich (Texas Tornado) was sentenced to 6 felony counts of prescription forgery. He received a 10-year suspended sentence, 10 years of supervised probation, and a $6,000 fine. On February 18, 1993, Von Erich committed suicide by gunshot with a .44-caliber handgun, one day after being indicted on a cocaine possession charge. It was also later revealed that he had an artificial foot because of a car accident he was involved in, in 1984.

On July 4, 1990 Ed Leslie (Brutus ’Barber’ Beefcake) suffers massive facial injuries in a parasailing accident in Lutz, FL, as the knees of a para-sailer crash into his head. He undergoes 8 and a half hours of surgery during which eight steel plates, 40 screws, and more than 100 staples are inserted into his head.

Mick Foley lost his ear during a match for WCW in Germany against Vader. He purposely got his head stuck between the ropes, but the ropes were tighter than expected and he began to choke. He had to force his head free, which caused him to lose his ear.

Steve Austin is the only person to win WWF Title at consecutive Wrestlemania's.


Bob Backlund holds the record for staying in Royal Rumble match the longest.

Interesting.

As for the last thing, if you check the WMX8 DVD they have the top three highest attendances for Wrestlemania, with the highest being for Wrestlemania III (Pontiac Silverdome) with 93,173.

That would make more sense, but it would only allow a crowd 20,000 or 30,000 more than usual to be at the event than some of the big events, and I'm sure there are that amount of fans wanting to go that don't get tickets every year.

I'm sure the Rosebowl is about 100,000, or just over, and some events have had 70,000+ fans at them in the WWF's history, haven't they?

Bull plop. They moved it because they knew they couldn't sell out such a large building. Vince came up with the sniper/bomb thing as a cover story
