For those of us in the 80%, Online gaming seems pretty daunting when faced with 56k laggyness.
But not to worry! The CLA have started a petition to recieve broadband access in rural britain, as well as eventually having broadband all over britain.
If the petition is large enough it means that BT will recieve a grant from
the government to expand the broadband community.
It may take a couple of minutes of your time, but please visit http://www.cla.org.uk/campaign-redirect.htm and go to the bottom of the page, send them an email of support and get added to the petition.
LETS FIGHT FOR ONLINE BROADBAND GAMING PEOPLE!
Heh, he lives around the corner yet I have broadband (on Blueyonder). It's good at first, then you don't notice it and it doesn't seem that good. That's until you try using a modem again...
Everywhere will have it over time but if you want it try that petition thing, if it's true.
