Basically it's a converter that allows you to plug your PS2 duel shock controller into your pc, via the usb port, for only £7.99.

I always thought the PS2 controller was best ever, and now i can use it on my pc games aswell.

Well, soon i will be able to, cos it doesn't come out till Nov 1st.

These seem to be getting quite popular...

Theres already N64, SNES, etc.. converters on the market? ...

I suppose people get attached to joypad types...

Although, I can definitly see the advantage of playing games in a SNES emulator using an old SNES pad?

I don't agree. I can now master the hardest difficulty level, using the worst team (Al Ahly) against the best (Brazil) with a generous scoreline using the keyboard. I have tried on Playstation, but the pad isn't half as good or easy to use as the keyboard.

well football games and such require a controller, but not a dual shock. Any d-pad controller will do the trick, or perhaps an analogue stick controller depending on the game. Dual shock is an unecessary expense...

I used to get FIFA on the PC, and a joypad is really the only type of control for that type of game! :-)

I agree with IB, as I can't think of any game in my collection where I need a joypad, PS2 or otherwise to get the best control out of a game. It would suit racing games I think, but for FPS and RTS games which I play allot of on my PC, nothing can surpass the good old mouse and keyboard, especially when concerning FPS. A good idea, just not one I'll be investing in any time soon.

Well, I'd rather use the DS2 than my MS Sidewinder pad - the shape of that isn't ideal fro maintaining a steady grip with sweaty palms! :-)

I'm just struggling to see what games it will give you an advantage with over existing PC technology.

Between realistic sterring wheels and advanced mouse controls, nothing surpasses, or even comes close to PC control capability.

If you're too used to using inferior controllers to take advantage of the state of the art, then I suppose it gains you advantage, but for me I'll stick to not using a dual shock...

I dont think the point is saying that the dualshock controller is going to be .... errr....dual shock enabled. More to the fact that you will be able to plug your PS2 joystick into your PC and be able to use it.

You IB obviously do not like the PS2 joypad and that's your own opinion but there are plenty of people who think it's great, I'm one of them.

what games exactly will you use it for?

nevermind the fact that the dualshock isn't anything special...

Cool, about time the did something like this. I also think the PS2 controllers are one of the best I've ever used, but that's my own opinion, no doubt others will come here and say they are rubbish.
