Old ames have made intressting topics recently and I thought that maybe the new high tech ultra intellegent game designers that create the games we play on our consoles might take a leaf out of the odler gamers book.
They might remeber where they got their inspiration from and what made them decide to make games!
We all love old games, and some of you might not admit it, but I for one prefer some old games over my new more expensive higher quality games!
Light gun games used to be my favorite and although I only had one game on my NES(duck hunt) it was enough to change my view on games for a life time! I loved every minute of it, even though there were only a few levels and they all seemed to be the same. The cartoon series used this gun, thats why i bought it, quite sad. Now I see games in arcades with light guns, they are so more advanced than I would have expected, they actually make full stories out of them and huge missions with lots of action, very clever.
Also 2D games like Super Mario Land which had story lines and loads of characters set examples for all platformers to come! and with 'Paper Mario' coming along soon, are we going to go back to having some 2D games? if so, will we have to pay loads of money for them?

yeah but it takes alot longer to programme for the new consoles, if you set a big game designer the task of making a game for the nes or master system then they could make a huge game in about a months time.

definatly developers think that just because they are developing for a high spec console it means they cannot fail

so it creats a false illusion

plus they had to work harder to make a good game with limited machine power
