Just got new Play. Haven't been any 90%ers or over since May (V-Rally 3). Maybe this month would be different.

Onimusha 2, Rocky - 90%
Hitman 2, Tekken 4 - 91%
Burnout 2 - 93%
Timesplitters 2 - 94%

I'm now much more confident in PS2's future.
Thank god.

While the number of games coming out at Christmas might cause a problem - trying to choose which ones to go for, and which ones to miss out, I don`t have the multi-format choice to worry about. I own a PS2, and no other next-gen console. Unless X-Box or GC drop under £100 its probable that I`ll never own either of them, and even then its unlikely.

TimeSplitters 2 is multiformat, but to me its always going to be a PS2 game.

I did a post in the Nintendo forum about Tiemsplitters saying how much Nintendo will lose out because they do not issue demo's.

The thing is - I dont mind using the GC controller at all but with games like TS which are multiformat - given the chance to try a demo on PS2 or X Box will enable you to make your mind up for definate and when you have made your mind up based on playing a demo, you are more than likely going to buy the version you tried.

Though the fan boys in there just told me the GC version will be better whatever !!

Hmmm, I thought so... until I read the rest of what you had to say...

lol! There's another game I`d certainly regret missing, so that`ll make the choice much harder later on. Plus, thinking about it, there's Ratchet and Clank as well... this could be much harder than I thought.

As TimeSplitters was originally made on the PS2, I`m guessing the controls might be initially based around the PS2 controller, with conversions used for the others. Its down to which you prefer though I guess. I use PS controllers all the time, and have never liked any controller Nintendo have ever produced, so from my point of view, the PS controller is the logical choice. For an FPS, just go with what you are most comfortable with - it could make all the difference in a multiplayer shootout.

I didn't get WRC - wasn't impressed enough by the demo. The only concession is maybe I will get Burnout 2 on the GC as that is a way off - may have to do the same with Timesplitters 2 though I loved the demo and the controller felt so good on PS2 that I probably wont do that ?? I just bought TIF 2003 so maybe Pro Evo 2 can wait as well.

The next problem is that Tony Hawks 4 is out on 22.11.02 and That means everything has to be played to death by then as that will take over.

Too many games and not enough time to play them all in !!

I have a good way round that:

I don`t like football, so PES2 isn`t on the hit list.
I have WRC and do not need another rally game, so CMR3 is off as well.
Burnout 2 and Vice City are maybes, but probably not "boths", whatever that means.
TimeSplitters 2 is the only definite for me, so that should work out cheaper.

Damn it !!!

The next 5 weeks

11.10 Burnout 2
18.10 Timesplitters 2
25.10 Colin Mcrae 3
1.11 Pro Evo 2
8.11 Vice City

I cant get them all - I dont have time to play them all - why are they tempting me so !!

Indeed it would, and there is quite a substantial amount of games I want for that machine as well. Damn, I have the money, I just have the time to play all these games.

And now you can add PES2 to that list, coming October 25th

Two of those games would be possibilities for me; it would be three but I already have one of them. I can't really see what all the fuss is about over Burnout 2 - it's another driving game. Maybe better than the rest, but still not that exciting.
