I own a Ps3, a Wii and a DS. I play my Ps3 the most. Games like Battlefield are taking most my time at the minute, then i get to my DS at times, playing Dragon Quest currently (nearest thing to an RPG i can find) and my Wii gets a bit of attention when friends are over etc etc.
But i keep seeing all these great games for Xbox 360 which i really want. Naruto games, Blue Dragon, Lost Oddesey and there are some great games like Star Ocean going ONLY to the 360, plus im keen to try the games like Dead Rising and things.
I really want some help with opinions, should i get one, i have saved a couple of vouchers which i have won from here, i could hope to win a few more, and save them as you can get one for £150 now which is good. I would struggle to afford one at the minute, but could wait until November for my Birthday... maybe thats the best idea!
But do you think i will play it?? I mean i love RPG's and it seems to be better than Ps3 for that at the minute! Also whats the internet like?? How much do you have to pay and i heard you can't use wireless?!?! just wanting some help on how easy it is to get connected. Ps3 was piece of cake and im hoping Xbox is the same.
I know everyone has their favourite console and i love Sony, but Microsoft seem to be trying harder and using their money for some great games. Really appreciate any help.
Thanks People!
I believe the 360 is still the best all round games console due to its extensive library of games (some very cheap stuff around at the moment) and great online play. However is it worth buying one if you already own a PS3 ?.I would say yes if you can easily afford it and probably no if you can't.Most of 2008's big games are multi format anyway, with the only real exception being 'Gears Of War 2'.Personally that is my most anticipated game of the year,it may not be yours ?.I find the 360 controller better for driving and shooting games than the PS3's,but its not great for fighting games (D Pad wedged between 2 analogue sticks is not ideal at all).Again thats my personal choice not everyone may agree. There are strong rumours about a proposed price cut very soon for the 360.If you did decide to get one it might be worth hanging on a month or so to see if that happens ?.As pb noted earlier if you do decide to get one buy a new model.Older versions were hopelessly unreliable and sounded like hovercrafts !,new ones are much better.Hope this helps mate.

£40 a year, surely?

Never bothered me.

Though PS3 is getting it as well, which he already has...
BUT - Sony will be getting plenty of RPG's and Naruto Ultimate Storm is meant to be better than Rise of a Ninja. Hmmm i think i might have to get one for my birthday. My 21st this year, see if i can convince my girlfriend to splash out!

A lot of sequels to many 36 games are coming out on PS3, like Dead Rising 2, but if you want to play the originals you should get the 360. bear in mind that a lot of the good stuff is now back catalogue and therefore dirt cheap. GOW, Dead Rising, Just Cause etc can all be picked up really cheaply.

Get it with a Hard Drive, don't bother with the Arcade pack, you'll wish you'd got the hard drive after a few days of using it. Oh, and get a year's Gold membership, and a wireless adaptor (around £50).

Xbox+ Gold Membership (£40 a year) + Wireless adaptor (£50) should be what you need. Plus some MS Points if you can afford them.
Xbox hasn't got a Browser though, but Live is worth experiencing, it's certainly better than PSN at the moment, though you have to wade through a lot of crap to get the good content. However, the online play is really easy to get into and though PS3's recent update has improved things no end with the ingame XMB, Live still beats it.

I can't see why anyone would only stick to one console, bar cost. I see too many things on each console that I like.
Final advice: Don't get tempted to get a second hand 360, always go for a new one.
I know from experience though, the 360 isn't wireless out of the box, but you can buy an adapter for it and plug it in to one of the USB ports.
Oh yeah, and the Online service is supposed to be much better, but I think to get the most out of it you pay a yearly subscription.
