I have watched sadly as in game shops the N64 has gone from a few cases of games to one shelf with little more than 5 games on it.
The PS2 is coming and yet the PSX still covers half of a game shop.
Many people will come back at me saying there are still good games coming to the N64 Banjo Tooie, Dinosaur planet, eternal darkness.
They are good games but can they realy support an already dieing console for almost two years, sadly i think not.
Personaly My favourite passtime is playing video games be them on my PC or a console, I can't live on 3 games which only remotely interest me for 2 years.
I have decided to buy a dreamcast to tide me over untill the cube arives and lets face it it had better be good.
I dread to think that by the time the cube arives people will own cheap PS2s or dirt cheap Dreamcasts I would hate to see the cube simply vanish like sega's previous console.
even with a wealth of nintendo games which are all fabulous will the casual gamer be interested in a cube, will a dedicated gamer be to interested in the X-box I hope not for I would hate what happened to sega to happen to Nintendo.
Becoming software only developing for the likes of sony.
When that day comes I shall throw in my gaming hat
