I recieved an e-mail today from BT Anytime saying that they are now altering their limits, from "maximum of 12hours online in any 24hour period" to "a maxiumum time of 150hours per month", which is less than half the online time, which I think is pretty poor for "anytime", so are there any better services out there with less restrictions?

I need no call charges (I use freeola for my sites, but it's not cost effective for normal surfing) and the ability to use the connection on any BT line (Freeserve restrict you to connections on one number only, and I need to use it in my flat at uni and at home) and there isn't Broadband in my area either.

Any suggestions?

yeah, but it's for when I'm at my flat (I live away from home when at uni).

I checked out Tiscali and they seem really good, except that you have to give them a specific number to connect from (I need to use different BT lines depending on if I'm at home or uni). And AOL, well, the software would drive me insane I'm afraid.

Sampford - sounds like a really good deal, but obviously I would have the same concerns if it has a restriction on where you can connect - most services make you put in your landline number before you sign up, so you can only access from one location. But the prices seem very good!

Soon I will be setting up my very own ISP, where you pay for the various limitations, or just pay for the complete unlimited package. At a maximum of 100 hrs per month, will cost around £7, 200 hrs - around £8, and 300 hrs should be around £10. Then the complete unlimited one would be around £14. Now in comparison to what BT are now offering, you could surf for twice as long, but for about £5 cheaper. Now is this good or what. And of course you will need a BT line.... what does everyone else think?
