Just watched the trailer for the new James Bond movie "Die Another Day"

*shakes head*
See Bond surf! Surf Bond surf!
See Bond sky-board! Sky-board Bond sky-board!
See Bond snowmobile! Snowmobile Bond snowmobile!

Has he turned from a suave and debonair spy into "Extreme Sports Bond"?
"The names Bond, James Bond. Gnarly eh?"

No. No no no no no no.

I think they're all pretty dreadful

The cliches are so boring

" Ohhh James save me I'm the super intelligent nuclear technician with big boobs but you need to save me then I'll act dumb and you can hump me at end of film "

" Lucky I got this device... it just suits this situation... if I had it in film before I would be dead "

" Or a super fast car chase in his BMW BMW BMW... did I mention he was a MOTOTOLA MOTOOLA phone in his BMW "

Damn dirty Commy-Nazi... let's kill them... GO JAMES

There is nothing like the old Bond films. Now they are poor. And the games are also poor too. Except for GoldenEye and Agent Under Fire of course.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: Despite the great film the Matrix is, it'll take the Star Wars route with the style of effects. Only problem being that Star Wars' new effects style took everyone aback straight away, whereas it has been a more gradual process with the Matrix. So, unfortunately, Matrix will be respected less by some in the future as opposed to the first Star Wars trilogy.

Unless, of course, the two sequels are good.

Yeah after the god of bullet time that is The Matrix was released, any film there after just looked dumb and uninspiring, the reason the effect looked so dam awesome in the matrix was not only because it was implemented flawlessly, but also because there was a reason to use it.

Today I read Terminator 3 will NOT be using bullet time style effects. Step in the right direction if you ask me. If the Bond films end up with slow-mo fights and bullet time, I'll cry

The reason bullet time and slow motion stuff was so good was because it was quite rare. However, that seems to be changing, with more and more films using it. You know what they say about too much of a good thing...
