I recently purchased Baldurs Gate 2 and was pleasantly suprised with 4 disks. Excited to say the least, 4 disks! yippee thought I, and began the journey into Baldurs Gate after completing a full install and informing the disk that my system was 450mhz, apparently average. Far into the game I was, and more than pleased when 100 hours had already been played and still being in the realms of disk 1.

Cruel developers, cruel cruel developers, I had been filled with false hopes, suddenly, it was completed, the end boss dead and the last FMV- (I wopnt even go into that...grrr...) flashing before my eyes...ending credits...and whats this....? 3 disks untouched?

some investigation work later, (no help from the manual i might add,) and I discovered that my machine had the data already stored, it was apparently powerful enough to use only 1 disk and play the game as normal from there.

A word of warning next time perhaps?
