The town slept a while, the outer fan walls billowing out the last remnants of the previous days exertions. The wire roads, specially made to be faster than the enemy nations of PS2 and Xbox were cooling down, and in the main bay, far above the main town, on little pillars, the disc of Resident Evil sat. None of the townspeople new of this, they just thought the frequent storms were a natural occurrence. The only way they could get along with the storms was to work with them. It seemed the high dish on the pillars requested work, and so they all did work, to keep the little Gamecube going, oblivious of their real line of work – entertaining millions of happy people.
This might seem odd to an outsider, but to them it was natural. Their silicon and copper life existed for them to live in, and so they did.

It was early morning now, and suddenly, the dark clouds of Resident Evil disappeared, and a blue, Sunshine sky replaced the ominous darkness and its growling moans. They were glad of this. The Sunshine usually meant a lot of work, but it was a nice day at the same time, and so they were happy. Bob and Arnold headed back up to the Flipper Chip area, while the Twins monitored the RAM chips. All the townspeople began their day’s work.
And so the days wore on. The little people worked on their machines, while the big people played on the games, both oblivious of each other. Then one day, something terrible happened………
It all began as normal. The usual little brothers rush in the early morning to play as much as possible Mario Sunshine. He left. Then he returned, carrying another world in his hands. He set it up, and started to play on a game called Halo. The little people sat around, ready to do work at their now customary hours, as the storms always seemed to come at certain points in their day……………but the fans stayed silent, and the dish remained cold, the people slept and nothing stirred in the town. All day. And the next. The next. And the next. It seemed the other world had stolen their life.
This would not stand! At a meeting, the people decided that action was the only choice. Late that night, they crept out of their town walls, down on to the Carpeted Plain. The elite strike force (of farmers and their dogs) snuck along, and soon found themselves at the side of a huge, dark, menacing city. Quickly climbing, they crept in through an open vent, and looked around. Horrible green neon shone amid dark walls, and odd-echoing sounds reverberated about the corridors. It was no happy town like their own one. The team crept along, and soon came across what appeared to be the town centre. It was filled oddly with dry ice, and the farmers looked for some source to shut this world down – It’s a bitter war you see! Just as they were searching-AH! The guards had found them…or should I say Zombies. The brainwashed guards found them, looking empty of life, devoid of anything bright. A fight quickly ensued, with the GC Townspeople quickly managing to kick them guards in the shins, and then retreated, but not after placing a ‘Shine’ they found from the Sunshine weather in a little box in one of the main rooms. Soon they were clambering down the side of the giant city, and as they ran, it began to crack…and then smoke, and as they ran…BOOM! They were flung forwards as a huge explosion tore the air. Looking back, they saw a huge gaping hole in the side of the city. It seemed the Sunshine had destroyed the menacing walls. They cheered. Work was back on!
Later that day, one of the Big people looked at the side of his new console. ‘Eh?’ he said. ‘What?’ came the answer.
‘Something has sparked up here. Perhaps a bit of dust got in and did something funny to the inside. Ah well. Never licked it much anyway!’
He turned on the Gamecube, hit himself on the head for not playing Mario for so long, and began.
Gamecube#2341 was back up and running. And so were the little people!
