Just got a brand spanking new Astra SXi 2.0 DTi this morning. My dad gets it cheap on some sort of scheme as he works for vauxhall. And it only costs £10 a month to insure me on it =) (normally it would cost upwards of £1000 to insure me on somethin like this! seeing as i'm only 19) And we get a brand new one every 5 months :)

Anyways, i get to drive it to UNI every day so i'm as happy as can be right now! :D Just took it for a little cruise around town, proper nice...Stereo is nice and bassy with a lovely CD player :)

I have a Nissan Micra, 0-7mph in 60 seconds.

It costs £10 a month to give you insurance for this car?

Are you sure it isn’t just that your dad has full insurance coverage and you are just a named driver? That’s what my dad has done for me and the Micra, it costs about £200 a year for me that way rather then about £1000.

exactly. My bike cost me just short of 3 grand. Get a car of the same value to beat me in a race and I'll admit I'm not the king of the road...

yeah, not as bad as modified Saxos though... Do you have to wear a Burberry cap to drive a Saxo, or will the car work without it?

Like a Nissan Skyline? ;)

When I passed my test I was covered by work insurance to drive my dad's VW Passat 1.8T. That's a car that I shouldn't have been allowed to drive! Then one of my dad's colleagues let his son drive his company Audi A6 and he stacked it in a ditch. They changed the insurance policy for everyone after that. :(

Got the new Astra on Wednesday. But I've gone back to driving the Corsa now. Just got some new Alpine 6x9 speakers installed in it :) The sound quality is amazing with proper heavy bass.

The McLaren F1 roadcar can do 0-60 in 3.2 seconds.

Heres the complete chart :)

mph secs
0 - 30 1.8
0 - 40 2.3
0 - 50 2.7
0 - 60 3.2
0 - 80 4.5
0 - 100 6.3
0 - 120 9.2
0 - 140 11.2
0 - 160 14.6
0 - 180 20.3
0 - 200 28.0

Oh, and its got a top speed of around 240mph

so, er, :P

Mind you, you could buy a decent house in Kensington for the same price...
