Just had a meeting about it all today, then went to get forms for joining gym then ate lunch. After Lunch I went shopping to look at DVD's before getting train home.
Tomorrows lecture is cancelled so all in all it was a good start with a day off tomorrow.
So far only one lecture each day for the first semester (Labs to be added soon though)
Anyone else started back or just started?
Hows it going?
I'm so glad I've got the net. I'll go insane without it.
(No sh*t.)
Others I know have to do the individual one which requires the 300 hours. Think mine is half of that.
Good luck with it. Let me know what you are doing it on.
You have to do a big fat project/program this year Aliboy?
We've got like the next 6 months to do one. They even cancel all labs for the entire third and replace it with time to work on your projects.
Supposed to spend 300 hours on it or something. Thats going to be one hell of a weekend in march ;-)
Oh, and to all first years, it'll take you about two weeks to realise that everything scheduled before midday is, infact, entirely optional.
For Biological Sciences. Somehow, it's a BA at Oxford. That confused me.
Why ? Who the hell wants to read a load of stuff then have to talk about it, if you've done the reading and made notes on it it's not worth going because anyone that hasn't done it can just say so and not have to do anything ! Gah.....good to be back anyway but I hate one module, "Debating The Third World", books for it cost nearly £100 altogether and the reading list is as long as my christmas games wishlist, all for 20 miserable credits. I'm doing international studies or media as a module next year, yknow, something dead easy.....

Nothing before 11am though. If i can get up early when i do need to, and if i don't get lame early seminars, that'll be very nice.
Unfortunately, after screwing my arm and being unable to work, i'm not exactly going to have much money. Not that i ever did, but it's really time to tighten my belt now.
You hear that gad judges? Skint. Need charity. I want to win 30 odd times too :^)
Ah well, have to see how the term goes, but i dare say with a bit of part time work and not so much of the drink i'll get by.
I hope.
Couple of weeks and i should be able to work again. I have about 3 potential things lined up, depending on how tight money gets, i should be able to get the shifts to get by. A lot will depend on how the hardship loan application goes. Hate filling in that much paperwork, but it has to be done...
Anyway, rambling now. Yeah, uni, great. Anyone know cheap pasta recipies? :^)
I only actually have 7 hours of lectures a week, so its pretty cool! Although i'm supposed to do 30ish hours of study in my free time...
I thought it would be harder for me to make friends becasue i'm living at home but i've aleady made friends with people in each of my lectures so thats cool.
I dont like these early starts though. Have to be in at 9am mon-wed. Which means i gotta leave home at about 7:45am becasue of the bloody traffic (the drive usually takes 20 mins when the motorway is clear, but in the mornings it takes 40 mins minimum) I dont have to be in on fridays though, so i cant complain :)
