If it got too much worse, I'd never see the outside other than going to work everyday, but I still manage to have a social life, even if some of it involved my friends at the local games shop! I love to read stories about games and new technology. I even bought a cheap PS2 games mag the other day, despite not owning a PS2, just so I could keep up with what's going on!
So, consoles didn't ruin my life, but without much more control they could have easily kept me indoors all day, never to see daylight again.
