The Daily Star (it must be true) a while back reported on scientists that have discovered the formula for the perfect baked beans on toast. Apparently, the bread has to be 6mm thick, toasted at x degrees for y seconds the butter should be of genuine butter produce and spread z thick over the toast.
What the hell was the point in that? Obviously, (like most daily star stories) it's a load of old socks, but what if it is?
There are stories like that, and the report of games rotting your brain from the other forum that are true. How are these funded? For an actual trained scientist with all his PHDs and stuff to sit there and measure toasting temperatures, he is going to want paying. Then there is the bread supplies, the tins of beans, blah blah blah.
Where is this money coming from? The national lottery special causes? Those lot have proved that they can spot a real charity when they see one, eh?
When are people going to realise that these things don't matter in the slightest. Who gives a toss how thick the bread has to be? I'll make my toast in the toaster, set to the way i like it, and enjoy it all the same. Why not spend the funds for such a waste of time on a cure for cancer or aids? How about getting the scientists working on that instead of checking the qualities of bean-sauce?
This world aint ever going to make progress of they waste their time on this rubbish.
slave.
